COMPANY VISIT TO PAASITORNI

For our first company visit, we went to Paasitorni, a meeting and conference centre in Helsinki.

Osku Pajamäki, Managing director of Paasitorni and two staff members showed us around the building. We saw Paasiravintola, different meeting facilities, learned about the various services they offer, the history of the building and the company, and we got to go to the tower. After the tour, we had a small meeting with him regarding cooperation between Paasitorni and our school.

We also had a chance to visit Restaurant Meripaviljonki, situated next to Paasitorni. The restaurant floats on Säästöpankkiranta and it has panoramic sea views. We met Petri Alanko who is the restaurant activity director of Graniitti Ravintolat. We talked about studying in Haaga-Helia, working in a restaurant and the history of the restaurant.

It was an interesting visit and I learned a lot about the Paasilinna and Meripaviljonki. Both of them were new places to me.
