DIGIDAY18 HAAGA-HELIA PORVOO

On the 14th of February 2018, I worked as a volunteer for Digi Day.

Digi Day is one of the most significant annual events held on our Porvoo Campus. The event had many workshops and speakers from different areas of digitalization. The event was organized by students that are specializing in event management.

I worked at the info desk. I helped people to register for the event, moved people from a canceled workshop to another one, and sold brownies. We also provided information about the workshops and helped people with their questions.

There were many workshops during the event, and I saw 5 of them. The three main speakers at the event were Anna Dementyeva xEdu program manager, Jani Aaltonen CEO & founder of Sales Communications and Peter Vesterbacka the founder of Slush, co-founder of Lightneer & MobileMonday, ex-CEO of Rovio. As our stand was in the main hall I could see all the main speakers and two workshops by Jani Aaltonen and Yann Ilunga.

The event went very well and I had a nice experience as a volunteer. I might do this again next year!
